Rochester Cathedral Hosts Royal "Together at Christmas" Community Carol Service

Together at Christmas service outside the cathedral

Rochester Cathedral was privileged to host a special "Together at Christmas" Carol Service on 2nd December, celebrating local community heroes and the spirit of human connection during the festive season. The event, supported by The Royal Foundation, was part of a nationwide series of community carol services.

The service was attended by invited guests from charities and community organisations across Kent, and was graciously hosted by Lady Colgrain, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Kent. The Rochester Cathedral Youth Choir provided musical accompaniment, while Oliver Dickens - the great-great-great grandson of Charles Dickens - delivered a poignant reading from "A Christmas Carol".

The "Together at Christmas" initiative, championed by HRH The Princess of Wales, continues to shine a spotlight on local unsung heroes and emphasise the importance of community solidarity during the holiday period.
