Find us by road
Rochester is well connected by road. We’re 40 miles from Central London and just over 30 miles from Canterbury. Visiting from the Continent? We’re about 45 minutes away from the Folkestone Eurotunnel terminal.
From the M20, exit at junction 6 and take the A229 to Rochester. From the A2, take the "Rochester" exit just before the M2 starts.
Parking
There is no Cathedral Car Park, but there is plenty of council car parking available within a few minutes walk of Rochester Cathedral.
Find us by public transport
By train
Rochester Station is just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. It has excellent connections with locations in London and across Kent and trains run regularly throughout the day.
London
Trains run regularly to and from London. The quickest is the High Speed service to London St Pancras which takes just 35 minutes. Other services include trains to London Victoria, London Bridge and Stratford International.
Kent
The connections to the rest of Kent are excellent. Trains run directly to the coast including Whitstable, Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. There are also direct trains to Canterbury and Ebbsfleet.
The Medway Valley Line is only a short walk across the river giving access to Maidstone and Tonbridge.
