Celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla
/Rochester Cathedral marked the historic Coronation weekend with a Street Party and a Service of Thanksgiving
The celebrations started on May 6th when hundreds of people joined us for our Street Party. The Cathedral was decked out with bunting and the Fenland Black Oak Table decorated for the occasion. Visitors were encouraged to bring their own picnics or buy a cream tea from the Cafe in the Crypt. The Coronation itself was streamed live into the Cathedral. Families could have their faces painted or have photos taken with images of the King and Queen.
On May 7th, we invited people to join us for a service of Thanksgiving for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla.
