Royal Guest at Cathedral Fundraising Dinner
/HRH The Countess of Wessex was at attendance at a very special fundraising dinner in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral. The Countess of Wessex is the Royal Patron of the Rochester Cathedral Trust. They were delighted she was able to attend this prestigious event which only happens every two years.
The dinner, on Wednesday 17 October, was organised by the Rochester Cathedral Trust to raise funds for the Cathedral. Other VIP guests included Jools Holland, David Starkey and James Taylor. The Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Viscount Philip De L’Isle and his wife Lady De L’Isle were also in attendance.
Guests were entertained by a performance by Jools Holland. James Taylor also premiered an extract of his new piece Magnificat written for the Cathedral Choir.
