The portrait has been loaned to the Cathedral reuniting the former Bishop with his Cathedral for the first time since 1793. The very robes he is wearing in the portrait are still in the collections of Rochester Cathedral and are displayed alongside.It has rarely been seen before and is due to leave for auction. The painting may leave Britain potentially making this one of the last opportunities to see this remarkable painting.
