Medway Council have made the difficult decision to cancel the Rochester Dickensian Christmas Festival this weekend. This is due to the forecast adverse weather conditions. As you can imagine this has been a difficult decision and has been made with the safety of the public and workers at the Festival in mind.
Rochester Cathedral will remain open for visitors from 10am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday. The Café in the Crypt will also be open for visitors. However, we have made the decision to cancel our advertised Carol Services at 12:30 and 15:00 on both days. This will allow us to remain open longer and accommodate more visitors to Rochester who may not have heard the Dickensian Christmas Festival has been cancelled. We hope to have informal festive organ music throughout the day.
We are sorry for any disappoint this may cause.
