50 Faces of the Holy Land exhibition

  • Rochester Cathedral England, ME1 1SJ United Kingdom (map)

The '50 Faces of the Holy Land' project is a photographic exhibition curated by Friends of the Holy Land, designed to highlight and promote the lives of the Christian people in Israel, Gaza and Palestine.

100 years ago the 27% of the population in Jerusalem were Christians, where today Christians are a small minority of less than 1%, and in the occupied territories life is hard for people of all faiths.

Each face tells a story marked of the Holy Land’s history and diversity, its joy and its suffering. The exhibition by Marcin Mazur was originally commissioned by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales, and we are pleased to be hosting it in Rochester Cathedral, where we have a strong link with Archbishop Hosam Naoum, who is an Honorary Canon of Rochester Cathedral as well as a passionate supporter of the work of Friends of the Holy Land.
