Today is Accession Day, when we mark the day, 70 years ago in 1952 when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became Queen, it also being the anniversary of the death of her father the late King George VI. We join with her in both mourning and celebration as her Platinum Jubilee year begins, praying for her and the Royal Family, by using the official, set responses and prayers at Choral Evensong this evening.
